Little Miss Sunshine!

I know I’m a little late to this party, but I was out of town when the movie premiered here.

Man oh man oh man.

What a fantastic, funny, horrifying (wait until you see the beauty queens), tear-jerking (actually cried while I laughed, and not because I was laughing so hard, but because it made me so emotional I couldn’t figure out which to do, so did both), hilarious, BRILLIANTLY-written and superbly-acted flick. Really sets the standard for a family road trip saga. I won’t even dare to describe all the bizarre nuances of these people. Trust me that you–men and women both–will love this movie to death.

This has been a public service announcement.

Little Miss Sunshine is one party that no one can be late to,Robin. Such a great, giddy family funfest of functional dysfunction:) My favorite part was Olive’s routine(no spoilers-it would be an act of evil to do so!),my sister and I nearly died laughing,I swear.

I was surpised when Entertainment Weekly’s Owen Gleiberman gave it a bad review and referred to it(in a summer movie wrap-up piece)as My Big Fat Greek Sunshine. LMS is nothing like MBFGW and I love both movies!

Olive’s routine is the thing that had me laughing and crying.

A bad review? What movie did he see?

  3. Lizzie Says:

I have never cried so hard from laughing in my whole life as I did at the end of that movie. I’ve seen it twice, hehehe.
